"Ruby is old enough to know better. Gabriel is young enough not to care.
Ruby:
I never wanted to move back to Waterford. Twenty years after high school, the mean girls still treat me like set decoration. When Gabriel came into my library, joking about the alphabet and putting 'U, N, I' together, I wrote him off and tried to forget him. Who needs a young stud when I have all the book boyfriends I could ever need?
